www.bigdudeclothing.co.uk has found that half of British women would date a man who was slimmer than them- with most believing that bigger men are more masculine than smaller, slimmer men. But could this be because 12% believe that slimmer men are more prone to cheating than bigger, bulkier blokes? Maybe.

To add to this, British women have come out as quite picky in their desirables- as they won't consider dating a man that is shorter than them, bald, or earns more money either- so the criteria for dating a British women keeps getting smaller.

Women like to feel small and feminine next to their men, as this is the way most couples are portrayed in the movies, but currently not in the limelight. Look at Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Jason Statham- he's bald and she still loves him. Penny Lancaster towers over Rod Stewart and Sophie Dahl is way taller than Jamie Cullum- but they make it work.

But being larger also comes with its limitations too- as women don't want their guy to be obsessed with the gym. Furthermore, they don't want them to earn more than them but want them to be good with the money they do get in their pay-packets and finally low self-esteem is a no-no too. It's a wonder any of us have a partner at all!

Darrell Freeman, MD of bigdudeclothing.co.uk, said the following:

"We get a lot of customers who worry that women won't find them attractive. Our research here has dispelled that myth - it's clear that men should be proud and embrace their bodies, in whatever shape they are! Yes, some women might prefer the fitness buffs out there, but many are all too aware of the gym obsessions and infidelity worries that can come hand in hand with that and would rather spend time relaxing with a man who can let go from time to time!"
