Sam Sparro

He’s already set every dancefloor on fire with his massive hit ‘Black and Gold’ and now Sam Sparro is about to embark on his first fabulous headlining tour of the UK with support from the fabulous Sneaky Sound System.Kicking off 2008 in fine style with his debut single ‘Black and Gold’, a song already dubbed ‘the disco anthem of the year’ and loved by all, including the NME, who made it their Track Of The Week saying ‘Sam can be warmly welcomed into both your heart and your dancefloor butt’. The track soared up to No.2 in the UK chart, and remains there a staggering 12 weeks later inside the Top 10. This was closely followed by his debut album, the self titled ‘Sam Sparro’ which received rave reviews across the board.Described as ‘a future pop superstar’ Sam is unlike any other artist around at the moment, and has fast become the hot pop property for 2008. With rave reviews, a killer single and album under his belt, Sam has also won the attention of the music industry glitterati, he was personally invited by Pete Tong to open his show live at the Miami Winter Conference and after meeting Mark Ronson there was quickly flown to Coachella to step in for Daniel Merriwether during his show. Sam was recently invited to the Glamour Awards where he was asked to present an award to the luscious Beth Ditto.Sneaky Sound System are arguably the biggest band in Australia right now. Their single ‘I Love It’ had the longest chart run in Oz history, their debut album has gone twice platinum and at one point they had four singles in the Top 40. They played the Antipodean Live Earth concert, supported Robbie Williams, and cleaned up at the Arias, the down-under version of the Brits.
