The 36-year-old American actress - who is set to marry Prince Harry on May 19 this year - is believed to have made up to four undercover visits to the Al Manaar mosque in West London where many of the survivors of the horrific blaze which tore apart the apartment building go to pray.

She is also said to have visited Westway Sports Centre, where survivors go to collect much needed supplies from hardworking volunteers and helpers.

A leading Grenfell community member said: "Meghan's visits mean so much to us. She has a special place in our hearts."

Meghan's decision to visit the centres comes as she is thought to be getting to grips with the charity sector in preparation for becoming a member of the royal family in just three months time.

An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Ms Markle has regularly been making private visits to organisations as she gets to know the charity sector."

It comes after several members of the royal family visited those caught up in the June 14 blaze which killed at least 80 people, including Meghan's 33-year-old fiancé Prince Harry.

The flame-haired prince was "moved" by the generosity of volunteers from British Red Cross after visiting a Royal Mail site in Greenford, north-west London in July last year.

A spokesperson said at the time: "Prince Harry wanted to visit the volunteers who have given many hours of their time to help sort through the huge number of donations made to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

"His Royal Highness was moved to hear how generous the public and businesses have been in donating all kinds of items to those affected; he thanked the teams from the British Red Cross and the Royal Mail who have worked tirelessly to sort through the donations."
