Britain's Prince William photobombed a picture of Chris Hoy at the Commonwealth Games yesterday (29.07.14).

The 31-year-old royal managed to quickly jump into the background of the snap as the former track cyclist posed at the event in Glasgow, Scotland.

Chris, 38, posted the blurry image on his Twitter account last night, which he accompanied with the caption: "Got to love a royal photobomb!"

It seems William - who has 12-month-old son Prince George with his wife Duchess Catherine - is following in his brother Prince Harry and grandmother Queen Elizabeth's footsteps as they both snuck into the background of different photos as well last week.

Harry, 29, flaunted his pearly whites as he grinned behind three New Zealand rugby coaches, Sir Gordon Tietjens, Trevor Shailer and Gary Hermansson, as they smiled for the camera at the 800m women's swimming freestyle on Monday (28.07.14).

Harry's funny photobomb came just four days after Elizabeth, 88, found herself in the background of Australian hockey player Jade Taylor and her teammate Brooke Peris' self-taken snap last Thursday.

The picture - which Jade, 29, posted on her Twitter account - shows the girls smiling at the camera while the Queen, dressed head to toe in mint green, can be seen grinning at the pair behind them in the shot.

She captioned the image: "Ahhh The Queen photo-bombed our selfie!! #royalty #sheevensmiled #amazing #Glasgow2014 @Hockeyroos @AusComGames (sic)".
