Janine asks :

What sort of dresses should I be looking at for a winter wedding? It's happening the middle of November - strange I know and I'm going in the day. Is a hat too much at this time of year?

Dressing for a winter wedding needn't be hard work, stick to dark hues and you'll have it perfected.

Black for a winter wedding is timeless and classic - it will never look dated.

The fact that winter florals are 'in' this season is also a big plus, if you want a bold look pick out some florals that will stand out in the crowd.

Hats are wearable for a winter wedding, if your outfit permits it, but just remember it may be windy, so consider that. You don't want to be running around outside the church looking for your hat. Maybe try an embellished clip or headband instead. This way your hair can be styled around the piece and you won't have to worry about 'hat hair' if you wanted to take it off.

The best advice we can give for attending a wedding is finding out what colour the bridesmaids will be wearing and avoiding that at all costs. You don't want to look like an extra bridesmaid tagging along.
