The tech giant has announced a virtual event to showcase the Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 phones, and more.

The upcoming reveal follows the launch the Pixel 4A budget smartphone.

In July, Google revealed they have a new voice assistant smart speaker on the way.

The design is similar to their Nest Mini speakers, and will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Whilst there is little known about the Chromecast, it's expected to have an external remote like the Android TV platform.

In June, Google officially discontinued the Pixel 3A and 3A XL.

The company announced the inventory of the handsets was "completed" and they would no longer be selling the midrange devices on the Google Store.

In a statement, Google said: "Google Store has sold through its inventory and completed sales of Pixel 3A.

"For people who are still interested in buying Pixel 3A, the product is available from some partners while supplies last."

The Google event takes place from 11am PT/7pm BST on September 30.
