Although another bank holiday has been and gone, we still have the weekends and any planned holidays to look forward too! Porthminster Beach - Cornwall

This prestigious Blue Flag Award winning beach guarantees the highest of standards when it comes to your beach experience. You can enjoy the exquisite views whilst tucking into your fish and chips at the top 5 Fish & Chips shop in the West Country. Another speciality of the beach restaurant is Thai fish cakes which are homemade in the kitchen. If you want to carry on your night, then you can head down to the beach bar and let your hair down with the collection of brand spirits and beers available.

Why not treat yourself at the Porthminster beach shop that offers all kinds of beach necessities. Not forgetting the standard ice cream on the town side of the beach where you can indulge in wonderfulness even more so!

If you have done enough tanning to last you a life time and want something a little more adventurous, why not try out the mini golf and bring out your competiveness, or if you want something slightly more daring, then try out the water sports they have to offer, such as paddleboards, surfing and kayak lessons from the beach.

 

Fistral Beach - Newquay

Famous for its surfing life, Fistral Beach has been operating for 25 years. If you love nothing more than spending your time surfing the day away then this beach is ideal for you. The beach offers an extensive range of surfing equipment if you are unlucky enough to forget something, and if you have never surfed before, then not to worry, as the beach can give you lessons to make you a pro at surfing. It will be in a controlled environment with professionals who know what they are talking about, so why not give it a go at Fistral Beach.

Each year the beach hosts a number of events to entice people to the glorious beach. New for this year will be ‘The British Kite Board Association Grand Prix,’ which will pit the UK’s top kite boarders against each other in a race from Fistral Beach round Towan Head into Newquay Bay and along to Whipsiderry Beach before turning and sprinting back to Fistral.

Fistral Beach will be launching ‘Beach Break Live’ which sees surfers compete for the title of ‘Surfing Champion’ whilst listening to music from the likes of Jake Bugg, Aluna George and Lucy Rose. The event takes place between 20-24 June.

 

Perranporth Beach - Cornwall

Camusdarach Beach is situated in one of the most scenic parts of the Scottish Highlands. You can either camp in your tent or spend the night in one of their luxury rooms that they have to offer. It boasts 42 pitches and has easy access via a footpath through the sand-dunes to 3 beautiful white sandy beaches.

Not only does the beautiful beach allow you to escape the craziness of life, it prides itself on having been featured in films for different scene locations and regularly features in lists of the top ten beaches in the UK and Europe.

As well as offering camping, they can provide families with catered of self-catering accommodation, they are even suitable for weddings and events on the beach. If you love to camp then this beach provides fantastic views of the islands and is sheltered by many large mature trees. The campsite is ideal for caravans and campervans.

If you don’t see yourself spending the night in a tent then why not stay in the Victorian Farmhouse. The confortable rooms will make you feel at home and if you’re feeling peckish during the night, then you can call the kitchens and have them make you anything from BBQ food, picnic or fine-dining.

 

Brighton Beach

If you like to stroll up and down promenades and soak up a cosmopolitan atmosphere then this is the beach for you. With its Victorian pier with various food and drink outlets you can soak up the sun and all things fun. You can even spend your day on the fairground attractions and in the palace of fun arcade which is great for all the family.

If you are a fashion lover then this is the place for you. Brighton hosts ‘Brighton Fashion Week,’ starts on the 13 June until the 16 June, which strives to showcase new talent and innovative ideas alongside more established designers. What a perfect way to end a day at the beach by getting tips and ideas from your local community about fashion.
