Those who had been to a festival before we then asked how much they spent on the entire trip and the average came out at £230 per person. This amount can be reduced significantly by looking on offer of the day website under the camping tab.

Ennis Al-Saiegh, marketing director of the website offer of the day, had the following comment:

“It seems that men and women have different views on what’s essential when it comes to festival camping. Women seem to make the sensible stuff as a priority, but men appear to focus on the good times!”

He continued:

“It would suggest that there’s more of a cavalier attitude amongst the men surveyed. Maybe it’s pre-festival exuberance or post-festival nostalgia, but it would be interesting to see if the list changes two days in! We’ve seen a noticeable increase in camping related search terms over the past couple of weeks so it suggests that festival season is definitely high on the list of shopper’s summer priorities, with a number of the items on the list included amongst them.”
