Following on from the last visit to Jersey we take in another round of ‘great’ places to stay and exciting things to do and places to eat.

St Brelade’s Bay Hotel

St Brelade’s beachfront and with five acres of stunning gardens, The St Brelade’s Bay Hotel is the epitome of charm and style.

With seventy-four luxurious rooms and suites, venues for dining, cocktails, or light meals. A foyer to chill and have a drink in as well as a number of quiet sitting rooms to sit and read or chat and watch the world go by.

The gorgeous traditional exterior gives you a hint of the opulence of the place and upon entry that's exactly what you're given. Neutral colours of inviting creams ensure you feel at home right away, whilst the friendly staff on reception help to elevate that. It took just minutes for keys to be handed over and before long, I was on my way to our stunning first floor double room.

The first thing that hits you when you enter is the size of the room, they are huge and spacious, high ceilings, traditional covings, huge floor to ceiling windows and best of all a stunning view of St Brelade’s bay from your double balcony.

When it comes to the furnishings in the main room, the bed was a beautiful super king size, so large you could have held a small party in there and as for wardrobe space you could have brought clothes to last for a month and still had space left over.

As for the rest there's a dressing table/desk and chair complete with hairdryer, twin bedside tables, alarm clock for those of us who still haven't figured out how to set an alarm on our phones; and a safe to store any valuables.

The bathroom is sumptuous, full size bath, double his and hers sinks, a shower unit and a toilet, add to that a view of the bay set so you can see out but no one could see in, watching the sun set whilst chilling in the bath, glass of bubbly in hand, it just doesn’t get any better.

The mini fridge had enough essentials to get you by but it’s worth noting grab a few bottles of wine to stock it up and enjoy the views, chill back, and unwind.

The Hotels also boasts a Health Club and spa, take a treatment in the spa or work off those extra pounds in the fully equipped gym.

On the hillside amongst the beautiful gardens over-looking the hotel is a full size outdoor swimming pool settle into a sun lounger to top up your tan, slipping into the pool to cool off – one word WOW.

The Hotel sums it up best describing itself as – One of Jerseys best loved hotels offering all the charm and nostalgia of a bygone era but with all the modern comfort and amenities.

Loved by locals and cherished by guests, a friendly place that guarantees everyone a warm welcome.

Add to that the staff are among the best we have met and it’s that extra that they give that makes your stay so much more.
