It's central location means guests are within minutes of top attractions such as the iconic Lords Cricket ground the world famous recording studios of Abbey Road.

The hotel itself boasts fabulous leisure facilities were you can spend time unwinding in the heated pool at Bannatyne's Leisure Club - ease your tensions away in the steam room or relax in the sauna before indulging your cravings with mouthwatering Italian cuisine in "Restaurant Fratelli".

The rooms are thoughtfully provided with a stack of useful amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi access, a flat-screen TV, and if you need to squeeze in a bit of work during your stay they even include a spacious work desk.

On arrival I can only say the staff made me feel incredibly welcome and were ready to help in any way they could from giving me directions to keeping my luggage until check in time.

The suite was staying in was stunning, that's all you can say. It consisted of large bedroom complete with a super king size bed dressed in luxurious sheets that you could not fail to have a good night's sleep, even in the centre of the hustle and bustle of one of the busiest cities in the UK.

Also you had your own fitted kitchen and separate dressing room and bathroom with soft luxurious towels.

Before deciding on my evening meal their was time to try out Bannatyne's. I decided to work up an appetite in the full size pool before further unwinding in the tranquil atmosphere, perfect while you lay in the Jacuzzi and gaze out onto the views that look out upon the beautiful gardens.

I decided to eat in the Restaurant Fratelli described as a two-tiered restaurant serving some of the finest Italian pasta dishes and their speciality pizzas from the pizza oven. Diners can watch as their dishes are prepared by chefs in the way only Italian chefs can through the open kitchen in the 'bar style' dining area.

Before settling down in the restaurant I enjoyed a selection of canapés which was a lovely touch before the meal, and treated myself to a one of the Bar hemia special drinks while I pondered over what to choose from the menu.

In the restaurant I decided to have the steak which was cooked to perfection brought to my table and served by Ivan. For dessert I enjoyed a strawberry supreme and it lived up to its name with strawberries, sorbet and cheesecake. I couldn't fault it.

Feeling well fed I retired back to Bar Hemia for another special gin nightcap.

My night sleep was as I predicted undisturbed perfect end to the perfect day.

Breakfast didn't disappoint either. With a selection of cereals, cheeses, ham, croissants and fruit as well as a Full-English breakfast, there was something for everyone.

It was well displayed and everything was continually being filled up. My favorite as the fresh fruit perfect start to breakfast.

Tea and coffee was brought to you by staff on request and a selection of juices were also available.

Room service is available for anyone wishing to take breakfast in their room.

The exclusive 5-star hotel would be a stunning choice of venue for a wedding here in Maida Vale guests can benefit from six functional event spaces, in addition to dedicated planning and catering services.
