Outdoor Cinema

Outdoor Cinema

As we dusted off our flipflops, sunglasses and barbies this year, Brits are going crazy for outdoor activities. Hence the demand of an outdoor cinema along with rooftop bars in the UK is on the increase.

The past three years have seen the fab idea of outdoor cinemas come to life as they have cropped up all around the capital - including Hampton Court, Brockwell Lido and Regent’s Park. Alongside this we've all been wanting to chill on Rooftop bars as we have seen in films and television so they are also making their mark in cities around the UK, springing up in London, Yorkshire and the West Midlands.

The trendy new phenomenon for outdoor cinemas and bars is not just exclusive to the UK, as places all across the world are playing their part to fill the void, from Europe to Asia, America and Australia, the alfresco activity demand is one we all share in common with others.

Andy Washington, Managing Director of Expedia.co.uk commented: “Outdoor cinema has been a fast- growing recreational activity over the last few years and with the sunny weather that the UK has experienced recently – it’s no wonder! Whilst the outdoor summer season may only last a few weeks more in the UK, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy alfresco living abroad. A drink and a film overlooking the city provides an entertaining and novel way to experience the city like a local.”
