The Hotels.com website conducted a survey and found that even though festivals are supposedly all about the camping 27% would prefer to stay in a hotel rather than get the outdoorsy experience and 2% are actually guilty for telling lie about where they have stayed.
The survey asked 2,000 Brits and found that the appeal of a comfy bed and a shower far outweigh staying in a tent with other festival goers. The Hotels website found that searches for hotels around major festival destinations had increased by 83% this May.
T in the park is topping the list at the moment with searches up by 83% which implies that this festival is not for the hard core campers among us. Glastonbury, Leeds and Reading have seen less of an increase at 22%, 29% and 22%, which shows that visitors of this festival are far more in tune with nature.

Kate Hopcraft of the Hotels website said, "It's shocking to think some of us will go so far as to lie to our families about sleeping arrangements! Staying in a hotel is not something to be ashamed of; some people feel they only get the true festival vibe when camping, while others prefer their home comforts, like access to a warm shower!"
