Walk the Walk Marathon to Take Place in Paris

What more could you want from a weekend in Paris, than to Power Walk a  marathon in under five hours 40 minutes and have the opportunity to see the beautiful city as never before?

Grant-making breast cancer charity Walk the Walk is inviting experienced Power Walkers to take part in the world famous Paris Marathon, one of the toughest events the charity offers.

This challenge takes place on Sunday 7 April 2013 and is not for the faint-hearted.

Those signing up will need to make a serious commitment to training, and need to reach a maximum average walking pace of 12-13 minute miles.

Due to the exceptionally fast finishing time, The Paris Marathon is ideal for any Power Walker who has previously completed a Marathon, and is now seeking the next challenge. Walk the Walk also welcomes runners who would like to join the team.Nina Barough, Founder and Chief Executive of Walk The Walk, said: “The Paris Marathon is one of my absolute favourite challenges.

“This beautiful City just oozes charm and has one of the most beautiful routes of any marathon I know, just thinking about all the wonderful memories makes me smile! It is a big challenge to complete it in under 5 hours 40 minutes, but really worth the effort.”

Paris is one of the most beautiful marathons in the world, starting from the Champs Elysees, and continuing along the side of the Seine, past many famous landmarks. Walkers and runners can even pick up a small glass of Beaujolais at mile 25.

Without a doubt this is a fantastic weekend and worth every bit of the training.

Nina added: “If you are looking for a fun weekend, great sightseeing, and wonderful food then come and join us at the Paris Marathon and raise money and awareness for breast cancer.”

Walk the Walk takes teams to marathon events around the world, with those taking part wearing the charity’s trademark brightly decorated bras, as they raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

Participants in the Paris Marathon need to raise a minimum of £500 for Walk The Walk, but if they raise more, they have the opportunity to travel for free.
