Last week on Big Brother Canada, we saw the first double eviction of the series claim a pair of victims who really wanted to play the game. Here, we speak to the night’s first evictee, Chelsea Bird, all about her time in the house, if she’d have changed her Head of Household if she could go back, and more…

The eviction vote was a unanimous one; why do you think some of the house were afraid to come over to your side and keep you in the game?

I think at this point in the game, everyone’s really afraid to declare what side they’re working with, and who they’re supporting, because they think that the vote will impede their game moving forward. So, it’s really hard for people to give anyone a vote, or go against the house in a larger sense.

If you could go back and redo your HoH, who would you put on the block and why?

I wouldn’t do anything differently. I had a plan, I stuck to it, and I have no regrets with that.

Who do you think has the best shot of going all the way at this point and why?

Ugh, the guys! (laughs) The guys’ alliance. I think that they’re setting themselves up really nicely, even though there are rumours that there is a guys’ alliance. I think Anthony is playing a really good game; I think Dane is playing a good game. I think of anyone; I think Anthony can probably go the furthest.

If you could somehow make it back into the house, how would you play to make it to the end?

I would emotionally detach a little bit more. It’s a real test to separate your human connection with people and your strategy in the game and I learned that, and I think if I could come to terms with that a little bit sooner and, be able to look at people like they’re steps to get to the end; I think that that would have served me a lot better.

What were some of your favourite moments from your time in the house?

Oh my God, there were so many good moments in there. Any time we had a party and we were able to kind of set the game aside and just have fun, those were always really great. Oh my gosh. Getting to know everybody’s story and really connecting with people; you never have the chance to connect with people like you do in the real world, in that house with no distractions and nothing else in the way. Just being able to really get to know people and really be present in the moment; that’s something I’m always gonna be grateful for.

Big Brother Canada continues Wednesday at 7pm ET/PT, Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT and Sundays at 8pm ET/PT on Global.
