Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad

Let's face it - Breaking Bad is probably one of the best television series in history, with some of the greatest acting any of us have had the pleasure of watching.

This weekend could see it scoop three awards at what is its final Golden Globe Awards, and we're hoping that it manages to do the triple.

Bryan Cranston, who so effortlessly portrays Walter White and even received a letter from Anthony Hopkins expressing how much he enjoyed watching the series, has been nominated for a fourth time.

Up until this point he's been unable to secure the gong, but we're sure the entire entertainment world will be in uproar if he doesn't grab the accolade this time round.

Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman

Not only he, but Aaron Paul is also up for his role as Jesse Pinkman in the Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for Television category.

It's his first nomination in the Golden globe world, and so it'd be great to see the conflicted character bring the award to Aaron's much-deserving hands.

Then, of course, the show as a whole is nominated amongst strong competition for Best Television Drama Series.

In the company of House of Cards and Masters of Sex as well as The Good Wife and Britain's very own Downton Abbey, it's a tough call, but would be the perfect note to end a perfect series if all three awards end up in the hands of the Breaking Bad crew.

Then of course we have Better Call Saul - the spin-off to look forward to in later months.

Saul Goodman will star in spin-off Better Call Saul

The Golden Globes airs January 12 live on NBC with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
