Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as Dracula

Dracula starts tonight on Sky Living, with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the lead role.

The series may have been filmed in Budapest, Hungary, but it is set in Victorian London, as a mysterious American industrialist arrives to the city claiming it's time to bring modern science to Victorian society.

That man is Alexander Grayson, and his true intentions are in fact to wreak havoc and get revenge against those who ruined his life centuries earlier.

"Dracula in this, he wants revenge, revenge against the Ordo Draco, which is this secret society that did him wrong several
hundred years ago. His anger and his fury has been building up ever since." said Meyers of his character.

Hosting an event to show what he has to offer, Grayson's eyes turn to Mina Murray (Jessica De Gouw), and he's confused when he feels like she's been known to him in a past life, and he's not the only one to feel the spark between them.

The show's based on an idea by Tony Krantz - 24-year-old executive producer - and has been created by a team including Cole Haddon, Gareth Neame, Colin Callender and Daniel Knauf.

'Dracula' starts tonight on Sky Living at 9pm.
