With June right around the corner, we’ve got our minds set on watching some incredible television. But what should you actually spend your time viewing on the small screen? Here’s our suggestions, as we run down the 5 TV Shows We Can’t Wait To See This June…

5. Fear The Walking Dead, Season 3 – Begins June 5 on AMC Global

The Walking Dead’s sister show and fellow zombie apocalyptic drama returns for a third outing, with the fan-favourite group of survivors once again forced to do their best to survive in a world where everything is stacked against them. Though it doesn’t pick up the same sort of viewership as the original, Fear The Walking Dead continues to impress those who have stuck by it, especially with the likes of Kim Dickens and Alycia Debnam-Carey leading the charge.

4. Orange is the New Black, Season 5 – Available from June 9 on Netflix

The ladies of Litchfield are fed up with the goings-on around the prison, and it seems as if the inexperienced guards are going to soon have an uprising on their hands. At the end of season 4, we saw racial tensions bubbling to the surface, with police officers and inmates going up against one another like never before following the tragic death of Poussey Washington. Exactly who’s going to come out of this one unscathed is anybody’s guess, but we’re sure there’s a lot more drama headed our way.

3. Orphan Black, Season 5 – Begins June 11 on Netflix

The time is almost upon us, as Orphan Black draws to a close with its fifth season. Executive producer Graema Manson has been teasing viewers with what they should expect, claiming that character-centric episodes will be focusing on the past of fan-favourite characters and clone sisters, Sarah, Cosima, Helena, Alison and Rachel. Though Rachel will be seen as the “big bad” according to Manson, they went on to say the character “has a surprising character arc this season”. It certainly sounds interesting.

2. Baskets, Season 2 – Begins June 22 on FOX UK

This dark comedy makes its return, and certainly impressed critics in the US who ensured it collected a 100% approval rating on reviews aggregate website, Rotten Tomatoes. Bringing the hilarious Zach Galifianakis, Martha Kelly and Louie Anderson back in leading roles, a variety of talented writers allow the actors to shine with some brilliant material. It’s going to be funnier than ever before with this one.

1. Preacher, Season 2 – Begins June 26 on Amazon Prime Video

Dominic Cooper returns as anything-but-normal preacher Jesse Custer; a man from a small town in Texas who’s able to command most people to do anything he likes, thanks to being possessed by a half-angel, half-demon entity known as Genesis. This season, he’ll be forced to go up against the deadly Saint of Killers, with Ruth Negga’s Tulip and Joseph Gilgun’s vampire Cassidy by his side. It’s going to be a chaotic and addictive trip; one that we’re sure we’ll certainly never forget.
