Mads Mikkelsen portrays Hannibal LecterThe second season of Hannibal is fastly approaching, and the first trailer for the brand new episodes has been released.
Framing Special Agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) for the crimes he's committed, Doctor Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) couldn't be in a better position, but when Will realises just who has put him in this position he's adament that the truth will eventually out.
"I am not the intelligent psychopath you are looking for" he tells the force, and when he comes face to face with the man whose actions have led to him being put behind bars he states; "I'm going to remember, and when I do, there will be a reckoning."
"We shift everything so dramatically that it keeps the audience on their toes because they now don't know what to expect" explained Bryan Fuller - showrunner.
Eddie Izzard will return for the new season reprising his role as psychopathic murderer Abel Gideon, and a new role will be filled by Cynthia Nixon.
Hannibal returns to NBC in America on Friday February 28, and is expected to come to UK shores at some point later in the year on Sky Living.
