Kelly Clarkson has really taken the opportunity given to her following her American Idol win all the way back in 2002. She's one of the few talent show winners who has made a lasting career after taking home the crown, making a name for herself not only across the United States, but the rest of the world.

Now, enjoying her own show on NBC - the aptly-named The Kelly Clarkson Show - she opens each with a rendition of a song by another artist she admires, in a segment called Kellyoke. Here, we take a look at our seven favourite Kellyoke performances so far; and we're sure there are plenty more to come!

7. Sheryl Crow's If It Makes You Happy

Clarkson's range is one that allows her to take on a whole host of different songs, and one that was perfectly suited for this country classic. Mixing up the genre with a dash of rock'n'roll, the tune is one that not many people are able to belt out, but Clarkson proves she's more than up to the challenge!

6. Robyn's Dancing On My Own

We've heard Robyn's original as well as Calum Scott's gorgeous cover, yet Clarkson still manages to make Dancing On My Own sound like a completely new song that was written just for her. The emotion and passion she puts into each note are utterly incredible.

5. Sia's Chandelier

Anyone taking on a Sia song needs to be a vocal powerhouse, so who's better suited than Clarkson? She tears through those high notes in the iconic chorus with expertise, delivering an iconic performance that the song's original singer will surely be proud of.

4. Annie Lennox's Walking On Broken Glass

As one of Clarkson's favourite performers, it was only a matter of time before she covered Annie Lennox on her own show. The tune is one that allows for some personalisation and as she's proven many-a-time before, Clarkson isn't afraid of making somebody else's song her own.

3. Whitney Houston's How Will I Know

Those who cover Whitney Houston are very, very brave. Fortunately, Clarkson knows her talent extremely well. The lyrics to this track may seem highly emotional, but the upbeat backing track and rhythm ensure that you can't listen to it without dancing alone.

2. Cher's If I Could Turn Back Time

We're sure Cher won't mind us saying this, as she's one of the most giving performers in the industry; Clarkson actually rivals the legend herself in her own rendition of If I Could Turn Back Time. The song has always been a personal favourite, so to see Clarkson give it some welly put a huge smile on this face!

1. Kelly Clarkson's Greatest Hits Medley

Who else could we have at number one, but the woman herself? Performing some of her best songs throughout her incredible career so far, she announced a residency in Las Vegas much to the delight of her live audience. The shows have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we're sure her fans will be lining the streets to go and watch her in Sin City just as soon as it's safe to do so!

The Kelly Clarkson Show airs weekdays in the US on NBC. Let's hope a UK broadcaster picks up the series soon!
