When Caitlyn Jenner told her family that she was transgender, some of the initial reactions were varied as they had concerns about her transition.
Ahead of meeting daughter Kylie Jenner, Caitlyn admitted: "Kylie's the one we're really worried about. She's having a hard time dealing with this. I do everything I can to try to stay in touch but she doesn't want to talk about it. She's just shut me out lately."
That scene aired in an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians back in May, and Caitlyn added: "My big concern is just that we've had such a close relationship for so many years and my kids are everything to me. I don't want her to go away, emotionally."
With time though came Kylie's need to open up, and now NBC Today have debuted a clip showing just how far she's come - now viewable above.
In a sneak peak from eight-part docu-series I Am Cait on E!, Kylie surprises Caitlyn at her home where the two meet face-to-face for the first time.
Kylie admits: "I do want to meet her. It will be a little bit uncomfortable in the beginning, but I think we're both ready."
Walking into the room, Kylie says, "Hey, pretty!", before embracing Caitlyn and noticing her grandmother Esther Jenner in the same room.
