Love Island may only have a couple of weeks to go before it comes to an end, but ITV2 are pulling out all the stops as we edge ever-closer to the big finale. In tonight’s (July 16) episode, we’ll see not one, not two, not THREE, but FOUR new additions enter the villa, with two new girls and two new boys hoping to turn the heads of some of the Islanders we’ve seen fall in love over the summer. So just who else will we be getting to know in the coming days? Here are the four latest bombshell additions…

Stephanie Lam, 23, account manager from Hertfordshire

Love Island superfans may recognise Stephanie as somebody who was reportedly on-off dating last year’s contestant Chris Hughes since January of this year. Clearly now completely single, she’ll be heading into the villa looking for love, and promises she’s somebody who doesn’t take herself too seriously.

“Personality-wise, I am always up for a laugh and a bit of fun,” she says. “I am a very affectionate person and I’m a loyal friend and also girlfriend.” She’ll get on well with Georgia, then! Asked about her bad habits however, she did admit: “Sometimes I can be a loud eater and I still suck my thumb.”

Not just going into the show to look for love, Stephanie would also love to make some friends in the villa, describing herself as a “girls’ girl.” She does worry however that people may not give her a chance because she’s going into the show so late on.

Laura Crane, 23, surfer from Devon

“Since I was 16, I’ve been travelling the world competing in surfing so I’ve seen a lot of things that perhaps some haven’t seen and I’ve had different experiences,” says Laura, a woman who’s looking “for somebody who knows what they want, who is confident in their own skin and who is ready for an adventure.”

She says that “arrogance and insecurity” are the two biggest turn offs in a guy, and says that if somebody is hoping to woo her, “humour is a good start.”

Asked about the worst date she’s ever been on, Laura revealed: “I started talking to this guy on Instagram, went on a date with him, arrived and he was much shorter than me. I want to date someone taller than me. As the date progressed, he told me everything about his life and didn’t ask anything about me. I don’t even think I said where I lived. I did a runner. Went to the toilet and never went back.” Ouch! Let’s hope none of the Island boys get on the wrong side of this bombshell!

Paul Knops, 31, carpenter and model from Bournemouth

Describing himself as an “approachable” and “likeable guy”, Paul already has his eyes set on Kaz inside the Love Island villa. “She is beautiful,” he says. “And Alexandra, I really like her aura, she seems to be a very relaxed girl and I think she can have a deep conversation, I feel she has a bit about her.”

When it comes to friendship, Paul says: “I am a boys’ boy but I’ve got two older sisters who allowed me to know how girls work. I get on with girls very well. I know some of the girls are coupled up seriously but I would still like them to get to know me and then make their own decisions about me.”

Hoping not to come across “as a bad guy”, Paul has a claim to fame in that he served as the lead male in the Britney Spears music video for Make Me. “Me and Britney were friends for a bit,” he claims. “I got to know her really well during the making of the video.”

Josh Mair, 21, DJ from Birmingham

Josh says that “no one brings the energy” like him, and has his eyes set on both Georgia and Alexandra going into the villa. Despite that, he says he won’t be “putting all my focus on one girl”, as he wants to “get to know them all and go from whoever I think I’m getting the most connection back from.”

Asked about cheating, Josh says he would “never cheat. Never in a million years. It’s a no go.” He also says that he knows “straight away” how he’s going to feel about someone. “I want the whole package. Laughter is the way to my heart. I want someone on my level.”

Whether or not he’ll get on with the other lads in the villa remains to be seen, but he has no problem causing tensions if needs be: “I am a boys’ boy but if it comes down to the girl I want, I will step on toes to get her. I will choose a girl over a guy, definitely.” This could get fiery!

Love Island continues 9pm each night on ITV2.
