Celebrity Big Brother returned to our screens last night (January 3) on Channel 5, with a whole host of new famous faces joining some all stars that have been a part of the cast before. Read on to find out exactly who is competing in the all-new series…
The All Stars
Austin Armacost, 28, Model and Reality TV Star
Austin is looking forward to making new friends in the CBB house after he stormed to the runners-up position during his season, losing out to his closest friend in the house, James Hill. He said his first time in the house was “very cathartic”, as he was “able to learn a lot about myself and about my character flaws”. Not one to hold back from a confrontation, Austin could ensure the sparks fly this January.
Calum Best, 35, Model and TV Personality
Describing his first time in the house as a “very memorable experience that only really worked well for me and my mindset after I left”, Calum is a man who has charmed the nation throughout the years. He hopes to share more of himself with the public this time round, admitting he’ll be less reserved due to already being a part of the process once before.
Coleen Nolan, 51, Loose Woman and Former Singer
Hoping to leave the real world for the full month, Coleen says she can’t wait to have “no phone, no emails, no school run, no cooking” and is going into the house to take some time out from her life. Admitting it’s at “a bit of a cross roads at the moment”, Coleen is going into CBB to think about her future, and hopes she’s made the right decision by saying ‘yes’ to the show once more.
Jasmine Waltz, 36, Hollywood Starlet and Model
Jasmine says she’s a new person this time round, admitting she’s “grown and changed a lot in the last three years”, and so is looking at the show completely different. “I know what to expect and feel much more confident,” she says, whilst saying she hopes to gain “redemption” this time round, as she wasn’t happy with how she dealt with her time in the house during her first season.
James Jordan, 38, Professional Dancer
James is a professional wind-up merchant and says he’s looking forward to the “chance to have more fun and cause more mayhem”, fully aware that people will either love or hate him. He says his first time in the show was great, so he “jumped at the chance to do it again”, this time going in and knowing what to expect.
Nicola McLean, 35, Glamour Model and TV Personality
Despite her bad reaction after she left the house during her first season of the show, Nicola says: “I wouldn’t have missed out on the chance to be an All Star. However much I got booed when I left last time, I know I was a good housemate.” She admits she’s still confrontational, but is hoping to have fun and let her hair down in the house.
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt – Speidi, 30/33, Reality TV Veterans
Speidi had few words during their pre-entry interviews, saying they’re most looking forward to ‘winning’ the show and are only doing CBB this time because they lost the first time around. Their description of themselves in three words? “Playa playa playa.”
The New Stars
Angie Best, 64, Former Model and Calum Best’s Mother
Angie can’t wait to spend some time with her son inside the house, whilst admitting “a break from phones will be a relief”. She doesn’t want to live with a “loud, vulgar young girl whose only language is swear words”, and says she’s an energetic woman who ‘doesn’t give a f**k!’. We’re excited to see what she has up her sleeves…
Bianca Gascoigne, 30, Glamour Model
Bianca says she’s most looking forward to go into the house and have some fun, but believes anybody who goes in saying they don’t care about winning is a liar. She doesn’t want to live with selfish housemates, describing her nightmare competitors as “ones that aren’t team players who wouldn’t even give certain tasks a go”.
Brandon Block, 49, Superstar DJ
Describing himself in three words as “happy, slightly overweight”, Brandon is excited to “get away from technology for a while and having a laugh with new people”. He says he has an open mind, so he doesn’t have an idea about the type of person he wouldn’t want to live with.
Jamie O’Hara, 43, Professional Footballer and Danielle Lloyd’s Ex
Looking forward to showing people who he really is, Jamie says he’d hate to “live with someone disrespectful and disruptive”, as well as “someone who just wants to cause arguments for the sake of it”. Describing himself as “spontaneous, joker and caring”, he could be one to watch this January…
James Cosmo, 69, Actor
James may not be your typical Big Brother fan, but the legendary actor says he’s a huge fan of the show and is looking forward to the “psychological experiments” of living with new people. Asked if he wouldn’t like to live with certain people, he says “there are not many people I could not live with for even a short period of time”, so we’re hoping he can manage well in the house!
Ray J, 35, US R’n’B Star and Kim Kardashian’s Ex
Ray J is the man in the sex tape that made Kim Kardashian famous, and is now bringing himself to the UK to allow British audiences to get to know him for his personality rather than what they read or see on TV. He says he wouldn’t like to live with “somebody that is an asshole and thinks they’re higher than others”, and describes himself as “real, raw and ready”. This is going to be an interesting few weeks with Ray J aboard…
Stacy Francis, 47, US X Factor Songstress and Actress
Stacy is perhaps most known for her stint on The X Factor US and her public spat with Whitney Houston just two days before the iconic singer died, so she now wants the British public to “get to know” her and “hopefully love me too”, because she loves everything about the UK. She doesn’t like “a traitor; someone who isn’t a team player” and describes herself as “feisty, intelligent and spiritual”.
Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
