Jahmene Douglas feels grateful to have had Nicole Scherzinger as his 'X Factor' mentor.
The 22-year-old singer has made it through to the final of this year's series but doesn't think he'd be there if it wasn't for Nicole giving him her endless support and advice.
He said: "I couldn't have asked for a better mentor than Nicole. She phones me. She talks to me. She's there, I think, more than any of the other judges are for their acts. She's crazy in a good way. I've just fallen in love with her. She's my big sister now."
Despite the outcome of this weekend's final - which sees him take on James Arthur and Christopher Maloney - Jahmene is determined to make it in the music industry and wants to become a positive role model for fans.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "A lot of singers have forgotten they have a responsibility through influencing people - mainly the younger generation. So all these foul songs - they don't realise how badly they're poisoning children's minds. I'm trying to bring back the class of the olden days and hopefully set some standards."
'The X Factor' final is on ITV1 tomorrow (08.12.12) at 8pm and Sunday (09.12.12) at 7.40pm.
