Based on the award-winning critically-acclaimed podcast of the same name, Amazon Prime Video have today announced they've given the greenlight for a new Amazon Original Series, the horror anthology LORE.

With over 2.5 million monthly listens, the LORE podcast has inspired a show that will present a mixture of tales dealing with frightening and psychologically disturbing true events - often with a paranormal twist - that have spawned nightmares in today's modern world.
Combining narration, historical mixed media and dramatic scenes to bring the stories to life, LORE will explore real-life tales behind some of pop culture's most popular characters and myths, such as ghosts, werewolves, serial killers, witches and zombies.
LORE will be produced by Propagate Content and Valhalla Entertainment, with Gale Anne Hurd, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Brett-Patrick Jenkins and Aaron Mahnke lined up as Executive Producers.
Meanwhile, Glen Morgan is a showrunner, and Phillip Kobylanski is supervising the project on behalf of Valhalla Entertainment.
Head of Unscripted at Amazon Originals, Conrad Riggs commented: "LORE is a thrilling podcast with a rabid following, and we jumped at the opportunity to work with Gale Anne Hurd, Ben Silverman and Howard Owens to develop it into a series for Amazon Prime members.

The 10-episode first season of LORE will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the UK, US, Germany, Austria and Japan in 2017.
