The 31-year-old star - who plays Tracy Metcalfe in the ITV soap - has been dreaming about the evil serial killer (Thomas Atkinson) bumping her off as his next victim, and while she admits it would be "quite shocking" if her alter-ego was murdered, cast members have been known to find out last about their fate.

When asked if she fears reading the script in case she finds out she will be killed off by Lachlan, Amy exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I actually had that dream the other night.

"I think it would be quite shocking if it happened. But it has happened where it's gone quite far down the line and an actor has found out last, and other people know. Sometimes that's just how it goes."

Fiona Wade's character Priya Sharma came close to meeting her maker as a result of Lachlan after she grew suspicious of his horrific antics after he recently kidnapped his auntie Rebecca White (Emily Head) - and the 39-year-old star started questioning whether she might be getting the boot from the soap.

Speaking at the TV Choice Awards at London's Dorchester Hotel on Monday night (10.09.18), Fiona added: "I was getting messages all through the Lachlan storyline going, 'Are you getting killed off?' And I was questioning myself going, 'God, I don't know? Am I?' "

Amy admitted she is usually glad to be busy on the soap, but has been "relieved" that she wasn't delivered a bumper script recently because she didn't want to succumb to Lachlan.

She said: "It's so funny because when you get your episodes through and you know how much you've been filming the last few months you're always wanting to be busy.

"Then for the last three months I've just been relieved if it's been quite a quiet one and thinking, 'OK, so there are going to be no surprises.' "

'Emmerdale' lost out to 'Coronation Street' in the Best Soap category at the TV Choice Awards, but Dales stars Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle) and Ned Porteous scooped the Best Soap Actress and Best Soap Newcomer gongs respectively.
