Show host Stephen Mulhern has revelaed the presenting pair will go back to their roots to reunite the 'Catchphrase'-style rhyming game on the 'Britain's Got Talent' spin-off show this year.

He told "It's quite weird seeing them play their own game."

Callers used to ring up 'SMTV' to play the game, in which they had to name the object they saw in front of them in two words, and it had to rhyme.

Dec used to be comically frustrated at some of the callers' answers, especially if they didn't rhyme, and would jokingly chuck the toy around in pretend anger upon hearing a particularly poor guess.

Ant and Dec - who also co-hosted the show with Cat Deeley - have previously played a similar version of Wonkey Donkey on 'Britain's Got More Talent', entitled Partners in Rhyme.

The segment saw Stephen holding up drawings for the presenting duo to correctly identify, such as "sheep peep", an illustration of the farmyard animal looking around a door.

While introducing the segment, Stephen previously said on the show that the "only rule" is the answer has to rhyme and that it was "loosely based" on Wonkey Donkey.

This comes after Stephen recently revealed the 'BGT' judges', Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, bitchy off-air comments will be shown on 'BGMT' this year.

He said: "The judges forget they are filmed 24/7 when they are on set.

"So we have all the footage of their conversations where they are gossiping between auditions.

"We're going to use it to play a game.

"For example, we'll repeat things they've said about other people such as, 'She's not really that nice in person' and ask which one said it and who it was about.

"It'll be like Russian Roulette, we'll play it and see who they were talking about.

"It's like they've never been on TV before, they know their microphone is on but they are still whispering."

This comes after reports Dec may present some of 'BGT' on his own after he hosted the final two 'Saturday Night Takeaway' episodes without Ant.

Ant recently took some time off after he was charged with drink driving.
