Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly could be on the lookout for a new Little Ant & Dec pairing for 'Saturday Night Takeaway'.

In the past, the TV presenting duo have had two mini-mes keeping celebrities on their toes with unexpected questions, and there's a chance they might return in the future.

Ant told Digital Spy: "The good thing is, with something like that, in the future we might want to do it again.

"We might search again for two new Littles and do the item again. And we might try it again with two new ones."

Early in the ITV variety show's run, James Pallister and Dylan McKenna-Redshaw played the look-alikes, before they were eventually replaced by Neil Overend and Haydn Reid when they got too old.

Dec added: "They sometimes come down with their families. They'll come down to a show every year. But we didn't see them last year.

"And we won't see them this year because we won't have anybody at the studio. We haven't seen them for a little while. They normally come down to take in a show.

"That's the one that makes us feel really old... The first Littles are massive as well. They're two six-footers. We haven't seen the second Littles for a little while. It'll be nice to see them when we can get them back to the studio."

Last week, ITV confirmed 'Saturday Night Takeaway' is returning on February 20, with a live, 90-minute show in front of a virtual audience of more than 300 people, with Gary Barlow taking part in a spectacular End of the Show Show.

Jamie and Harry Redknapp will take part in hidden camera segment I’m A Celebrity… Get Out Of Me Ear in the first show back, and Davina McCall and Sir Mo Farah will be pranked over the course of the new series.

Ant and Dec have been cloned, and the clones have gone rogue, for new mini-series Double Trouble, which will feature several stars, including Bear Grylls, Prue Leith, Rob Brydon, Alison Hammond and Jermaine Jenas.

Stephen Mulhern will put the hosts through their paces in the Ant vs Dec challenges, Fleur East will front a brand-new segment on the show, and Win the Ads will also return.
