The former 'Coronation Street' star was part of last year's series which swapped the jungle for Gwrych Castle in North Wales due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, but she'd happily be a campmate for a second stint if bosses took the 2020 cast Down Under for the true jungle experience because she loved everyone so much.

Appearing on 'The Andy Jaye Podcast', she said: "I would do it, without a doubt, I would. If it were exactly the same people, because I knew Shane [Richie] before but I didn't know any of the others at all.

"You know when you think, 'Well, Victoria Derbyshire will be too clever for me.' I did think that and I thought she'd be very proper and sensible. She's just the opposite, believe me - she is a hoot! She's so funny!

"I think because we'd all been in isolation for so long and all un lockdown, we got together. I know everybody says it but we just hit it off completely - there wasn't a wrong word. .. That side of it, I loved. The trials, not so much!"

The 64-year-old actress was also disappointed by the cold winter weather in Wales, having initially signed up thinking she and her husband Jon McEwan would be treated to a sunny break in Australia once she got voted out.

She added: "Truly, I think Jon thought he was gonna be sunning himself and I just thought, 'Well at least we'll be warm.' No! Afraid not - minus one degree it was in that bedroom in the castle. It was terrible!"

Although Beverley loved her co-stars in the castle, she didn't enjoy the environment itself.

She said: "It was so cold in there, that bathroom was so disgusting, that watering can - nobody could get a shower in there! We all felt minging!"
