The 55-year-old nightclub owner was given the power of a killer nomination by fellow housemate Lotan after a group task aired during Monday night's (12.06.17) show.
Explaining why he chose Raph to face Friday's eviction, he said: "He's too intelligent and hasn't really mucked in like everyone else."
Joe was given the power to choose a housemate to nominate during a group task where all the housemates were asked questions about their fellow contestants. They were led to believe that if they correctly answered their questions then they would win gifts. However, those who did answer correctly were instead given punishments that they had to hand over to other housemates. And if they were to answer incorrectly then they had to receive the punishments themselves.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the show, Raph spent time in the diary room, talking to Big Brother about his opinions on the house.
He said: "In my opinion, the popular crew is Kayleigh, Ellie, Rebecca, Lotan, Kieran, Tom and their leader is Joe.
"And then in the exile crew, there is no leader cos we're a democracy, it's me, Imran, Sukhvinder, Deborah ... in the middle Hannah and Charlotte."
And when Big Brother announced Arthur had left the house, the news was met by shock from his housemates.
A Channel 5 spokesperson confirmed at the time that Arthur had left but did not divulge the reason.
They said: "Arthur has left the Big Brother house and will not be returning."
It came after Arthur had a big bust up with fellow housemate Kayleigh.
In the blazing row, Kayleigh told him: "I said it to you there earlier on, if you've had a problem you should have said earlier on - your perfect opportunity."
And Arthur replied: "I've given my life to women and I'll tell you right now you're not a woman. You're really not. There's no way women should ever act like you today."
But Kayleigh fumed back: "Do you know what, you're playing some silly little f***ing petty game, f**k off. You've p***ed me off. So why have you told me every single day how beautiful I am? You're a contradicting little ****. F**k off out of my face before I go mad. Honestly, leave me the f**k alone. You are playing some silly little game and I actually like you until that second and now you're saying I'm not a woman? F**k off."
