Disney are, like many other streaming services this year (2021), really pushing the boat out when it comes to content, and this month (October 2021) is no different.
Disney has some amazing films and shows coming to its platform in October alone, such as Among the Stars, in which viewers will follow the lives of astronauts and witness the world from up above; this month also sees exciting series Just Beyond land on Disney+.
Just Beyond is set to challenge the face of reality itself, and take the solitary step into the unknown. Based on the BOOM! Studios graphic novels by legendary novelist R. L. Stine, this show should scream intrigue.
Stine, a producer, screenwriter and executive editor as well as author, has written some incredible books in his time, including Fear Street, which has been turned into a wildly successful and thrilling Netflix trilogy of movies. He is perhaps more well-known for writing the Goosebumps book series.
Just Beyond is an eight-episode anthology series, which promises to tell outstanding and mind-bending stories of a reality just beyond the one we’re familiar with.
Every single episode introduces viewers to a brand-new set of characters, who must go on a shocking journey of self-discovery in a supernatural world of witches, aliens, ghosts, and parallel universes.
The trailer for Just Beyond showcases a variety of situations, characters, visuals and more, suggesting that this series really is one to look out for; each episode hosts a different story, so new surprises, creatures and beings will be waiting around every corner.
Despite being a Disney show, Just Beyond seems to have a rather decent horror element to it, something eerie and menacing just beyond the surface; it appears that there is more than meets the eye with this upcoming series.
The trailer shows us so much of what the show has to offer, but without spoiling any surprises. Ghosts, witches and other creepy creatures seem to be lurking in the dark, and Disney certainly knows how to amp up excitement as fans of Stine, Disney and horror cannot wait to get their hands on the series.
The cast for this amazing upcoming series includes Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Leeann Ross (Lovecraft Country), Nasim Pedrad (Aladdin, Brooklyn 99), and Lauren Lindsey Donzis (I Am Mortal).
Just Beyond will be streaming every episode from October 13th, 2021, as part of Hallowstream on Disney+.
