The DJ was removed from the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house on Thursday (05.01.17) after complaining of feeling unwell and when the show's medical staff were unable to diagnose the problem, he was taken to hospital.

Brandon's removal from the house was not aired on TV and his medical issues were not mentioned.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Brandon wasn't well at all. It was pretty serious.

"He immediately saw the medics that were on standby at the house.

"But there were concerns his condition could worsen and could even become critical so it was decided he needed to go to hospital."

However, a message on his Twitter account played down the incident, stating: "Checked in with producers last night and It's been a bit fabricated! The tests were routine (sic)."

The 49-year-old musician was popular in the 80s and 90s and is the founding member of techno group The Aloof.

He famously stormed the BRIT Awards in 2000 after his drunken mates told him he was to collect an award and he allegedly got into an altercation with Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood at the star-studded bash.

He has also been open about his past cocaine addiction, which saw him spend £2,000 a day feeding his habit.

A source previously said: "Brandon was a huge name in 90s.

"He was on radio constantly and his hard-partying ways were all over the papers.

"Not only was he a successful DJ but also a big producer throughout the 80s, too. When 'CBB' offered him a spot this year he was well up for it."
