BritBox is a digital video subscription service, created by the BBC and ITV. It brings the absolute best of past, present and even future British programmes, as well as award-winning content which use can view all in one place.

The service costs £5.99 a month in HD, and British TV boxsets from All 4 and British films from Film 4 are also available with the service.

It also includes high quality factual and entertainment content from Channel 5, plus original British comedies from Comedy Central UK. BritBox features the biggest collection of British content available on any streaming service.

BritBox UK offers subscribers the biggest collection of British box sets, starring the finest home-grown talent, including the likes of Broadchurch, Downton Abbey, Vera, Only Fools and Horses, Love Island and Original exclusive content including The Beast Must Die, Secrets of the Krays and Spitting Image, which will return to the platform later this year (2021).

Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. They connect users to the streaming content they enjoy, enable content publishers to build large audiences, and provide advertisers with unique capabilities to engage its customers.

Users that already have a BritBox subscription can just log into the new BritBox channel on their Roku streaming device; if you do not have BritBox, you can sign up via their remote control and easy integration with Roku Pay.

Roku Pay makes it simple for customers to sign up for a free trial subscription, subscribe to channels, and buy movie rentals, sporting events and pay-per-view.

Once a payment method has been added, users can purchase anything right from their TV, with just a few clicks on their Roku remote.

Tom Price, the Commercial Director for BritBox UK, has said that he is “thrilled to bring the best of British entertainment to Roku, which has been one of the most demanded platforms in customer feedback.

“Our mission”, continues Price, “is to make it easy to enjoy BritBox across any device and we now cover all the major streaming devices and smart TV platforms. It’s perfect timing with original and exclusive shows including the new series of Spitting Image launching in the next few months, as well as our unrivalled collection of classic and contemporary British TV.”

BritBox is available on Roku from today (August 31st, 2021)!
