The 27-year-old actress donated hundreds of journals from her stationary company Oh So B to NHS staff and school children across the country to help spread cheer throughout the unprecedented period.

Sharing various pictures of those who have received planners on her Instagram account on Thursday (02.04.20), she wrote: "The world right now is very unsettling and nobody seems to have the answers we all desperately want. It's so hard to know how to help - here I am in a very fortunate position despite feeling as vulnerable as the next person.

"If I can do anything to help I would like to. Even just to put smiles on peoples' faces."

The former 'Coronation Street' star went on to praise the NHS and thank staff for their hard work, whilst hoping the planners will help them document their long shifts as they care for those battling the deadly respiratory disease.

She continued: "Some of you may know I have a stationery company called Oh So B. The concept behind it is positive thinking. So that got me thinking.. & this week we decided to send out some products.

"So... to the NHS staff who've received a positivity planner to document your long shifts a little easier - thank you. For working so hard, for keeping us safe, for putting your own health at risk to help everybody else's."

Brooke also sent revision planners and notebooks to children who have had to sacrifice their learning following school closures meaning some may have spent their last days in primary schools.

She added: "To the high school children being homeschooled - we hope your revision planners help and don't worry, you'll be back at school before you know it, telling your grandchildren in years to come how you lived through this time.

"To the year 6s who used our notebooks as leavers' message books when they suddenly found out they was leaving their primary school prematurely - you may feel anxious with starting back at a new school but you are our future, you are what's keeping everyone who's working so hard around the clock going."

As well as trying to spread positivity, Brooke has urged fans to "think outside the box" during their time in quarantine by taking the opportunity to be more "appreciative" of life.

She explained: "In this strange time we seem to have paused on life, try and laugh as much as you can! Spend time with your household, think outside the box, learn something new & if this teaches us anything I hope it's to be more appreciative of the things we take for granted."
