The former 'Great British Bake Off' winner took to Twitter on Wednesday night (31.10.18) to share a picture of the cute canine after she travelled all the way to the Many Tears Rescue centre in Carmarthen, South Wales, to pick up her new four-legged friend named Albus.

Alongside a picture of her cuddling the pup, she wrote: "We got him! Today we drove to @ManyTearsRescue in wales to adopt Many- now to be known as Albus!! You may have seen him on @thismorning last week- well I did and fell in love!!! We can't wait for our adventures #AdoptDontShop (sic)

And she later gave an update to her fans to let them know her new pet was settling in well.

She added: "Think Albus has settled in just fine thank you @ManyTearsRescue for all you do #adoptdontshop (sic)"

Candice's new addition to the family comes after she recently secretly wed her significant other Liam Macaulay in France.

The brunette beauty admitted she would love to do it all over again after experiencing the "best day" of her life.

She wrote on Twitter: "Just seen some of our wedding photos- I can't even begin to describe how they make me feel. I want to do it all again! People aren't lying when they say it is the best day of your life, it really truly is! I can't wait for you to see

"The congratulations & love we have received is incredible! Thank you so much for all your kind words! I keep bursting into tears (of complete overwhelming happiness & joy) -to anyone posting negative comments- I hope one day you experience the love and happiness we have (sic)"

Candice confirmed in October 2017 that she and Liam had got engaged, and admitted she felt "very lucky" with all the opportunities she's received following her 'Bake Off' success.

She said: "I get emotional. Because it's been such an amazing year. I feel very lucky. I've had such incredible opportunities - 'GBBO' opened so many doors - and to top it off he puts a ring on it."
