The 'Love Island' star has revealed she is expecting a baby with her ex-boyfriend Nathan Massey, whom she met on the show last year, but the pair have no plans to reconcile.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: "It's a shame and a sad situation. I know a lot of people will think, well you're going to have a baby together so just stay together - but we're not going to do that just to look like the perfect couple."
Although they've got no intention of reuniting, Cara and Nathan - who split in April over a series of "silly rows" - are determined to remain friends because they'll still cross paths.
The heartthrob said recently: "Me and Cara have split, we've had the best summer of our lives but it's been a tough few weeks and wish her the best of luck for the future (sic)"
The news of their split came after the couple admitted they don't regret the numerous times they were seen getting hot and heavy beneath the sheets whilst appearing on the ITV reality show, because they thoroughly enjoyed the backlash.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz in January, Nathan, 24, said: "We didn't get involved in drama in the house and we don't get involved in drama outside. We keep very drama-free, only with each other when she throws water over me."
Whilst 26-year-old Cara added: I watch 'Game of Thrones' and 'Game of Thrones' is all minnies and willies. And that is the best show on TV, so if they're doing it. We've been nominated for a National Television Award so it can't be that bad."
