The 49-year-old comedienne has been scrubbing her pet pooch Spinee's mess off her floor because the yellow labrador retriever didn't want to put her bare bottom on the icy ground.

Speaking on 'This Morning' on Friday (02.03.18), she said: "I can't believe my dog's bowel habits are up for discussion.

"She doesn't like to get her bare bottom down. She did it in the hall I'm afraid to say."

However, her four-legged friend may be excused as she recently underwent a major operation.

She tweeted at the time: "May I ask one favor? My dog Spinee needs your prayers. She just came out of a difficult surgery 20 minutes ago ... She is my beloved."

She then added the next day: "Spinee came out of the anesthetic well ... her vital signs are good ... your prayers are working.

"The Spinee Report: Her vital signs are good... pink gums ... sleeping peacefully... recovering as hoped. Not out of the woods yet. Prayers working (sic)."

Meanwhile, Catherine certainly has a busy few months coming up as she is set to host the Olivier Awards on April 8.

She explained: "I'm going to be hosting this year's Olivier Awards. It's going out live on ITV on the 8th of April and extraordinary being transmitted to every country apart from north Korea.

"How I got that gig was I was in the theatre and I was sitting next to someone who works at the Olivier Awards and I was being approached by people because I'd been out for a while and I kept disturbing this man and I said: 'I'm so sorry about that but everyone is here tonight.' And he said: 'Oh I know it's a who's who of who cares.' And we were talking and I thought he was really interesting. And in the interval he went off and got me an ice cream which I thought was very nice and I was vegan at the time - I do dip in and out of veganism - so I couldn't eat that so I put it under my seat and he doesn't know that but thank you. And then at the end of the evening and he said: 'I work at the Oliviers and we were talking about you today thinking you'd be a great person to host the show and when you came in and sat down I thought oh that's a sign. I'm not too nervous. I don't suffer with my nerves but having said that, it is a massive undertaking. It's an incredibly exciting thing and all eyes are on me."
