The 37-year-old actress - who played Eva Price in 'Coronation Street' - has revealed she thinks skinny dipping is "great" and admitted it makes her feel "so free".

She confessed: "I went skinny dipping not that long ago but it was dead at the time, it was really, really quiet.

"There’s nothing like skinny dipping, it’s great. You feel so free. Free floating mum boobs, all day."

The former soap star revealed it's something she'd like to do more often, but she knows it's not likely to go unnoticed.

Appearing on Russell Kane's 'Boys Don't Cry' podcast, she added: "It’s quite a natural thing. It’s lovely."

During the podcast, Catherine discussed whether men are more reckless than women. And the actress also spoke about her own evolution over the years.

She shared: "If you’d have asked the younger me, I’m a completely different person to what I was when I was, like, at drama school. Those were very open times."

Catherine - who has five-year-old son called Alfie with her husband Tom Pitfield - admitted to being much more reckless during her younger years.

But now, as a mother, she's "quite happy being boring".

She explained: "I was quite reckless when I was younger but that’s for the kids now. I’m quite happy being boring."

Meanwhile, Catherine previously revealed that her on-screen romances in 'Coronation Street' used to confuse her son.

Speaking in 2017, the actress shared: "It does confuse him a little bit, especially if we are doing romantic scenes, as he knows Shayne [Ward].

"But I’ve explained to Alfie that I’m pretending and I think he gets it, because we act out scenes from 'Frozen' together and he does a fake cry for that."
