The actor - who is best known for playing Eva Price in ‘Coronation Street’ for seven years - has opened up about a faux pas she once made at a glamorous bash, when she mixed up the words "areola" and "aioli".

Speaking on ‘Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line Up’, the 38-year-old star says: "I remember going to an ITV party and I was stood with a bunch of bigwigs, and they came around with little snacks, and I was like, 'Can I get some more of the areola please?'

"They were like, 'Sorry what?'

"I said, 'Yes the areola - the garlic dip?' and the waitress was like, 'No that's the bit around your nipple!' I meant aioli!"

Elsewhere on the show, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp opens up about his wild times in the 1980s, such as a time he accidentally did his business in a stranger's hotel room toilet by mistake.

The 60-year-old star says: "I remember we were in Germany and it was in the early days of using keycards for hotel rooms.

"Me and the boys had been out, four o'clock in the morning. I get back to the hotel room, get my keycard out, go into the room.

"The first thing you want to do, I wanted to go to the toilet, so I walked straight into the ensuite bathroom, pull my trousers down, sitting there, did my business.

"Then all of a sudden I'm looking around and I can see someone else's perfume. And someone else's toiletries. And then I can hear snoring! I'm in someone else's room! It was an absolute nightmare. So what did I do? Flush and run. It was the only way I could do it."

Alongside them, the show will also feature Danny Jones from McFly, and ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ star Rupert Everett.

'Paul O'Grady's Saturday Night Line Up' continues on Saturday at 10pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
