'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' campmates sang Disney, Queen or The Beatles songs so their co-stars could have private conversations - because ITV would've had to get the rights to the tunes.

Jordan North, who finished runner-up on the programme last week, has revealed show bosses instructed the contestants not to blurt out hits by the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hitmakers, the Fab Four, or any Disney classics, so one of the stars would sing a song if their pals wanted a chat that wouldn't air.

He said: "Before we went in, we were told not to sing any songs by Queen, The Beatles or Disney because we can't get them cleared.

"That means you've got to get the rights for it.

"So if we were having a conversation that we didn't want to go on air, we'd have a conversation and we'd get someone in the background to sing 'I Want To Break Free'."

Jordan revealed Shane dished the dirt on some TV stars, telling him what they are really like - but the footage didn't air because their campmate Vernon Kay was singing The Beatles' 'Hey Jude' in the background.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1 - where he works as a DJ - Jordan added: "I'd be there with Shane Richie going, 'Is he really like that? I've always loved him on the telly'.

"Shane's saying, 'Can't stand him mate, he is nothing like you see...'

"Then you've got Vernon in the background going 'Hey Jude, don't let me down.'

"Then we'd know it wouldn't go on air! I don't know if we're allowed to say that!"
