Security guards on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' were disguised as trees and bushes.

A number of staff were stationed around the camp in Australia to protect the contestants - including King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp and runner-up Emily Atack - and ensure they didn't stray too far away from their filming area - but in order to keep their presence low-key, the guards were wrapped in branches and leaves to ensure they blended into the background.

Joel Dommett, who hosts spin-off show 'Extra Camp', said: "They hang out towards the edge of the camp, so the campmates don't escape, essentially.

"They're security men. They're there to protect the campmates from nature and things like that."

The guards are part of an "amazing, well-oiled machine" comprising a crew of 600 and Joel admitted getting the show to run smoothly is like a round-the-clock "military operation".

He added to Mirror Online: "You don't realise how much of a ridiculous, logistical situation the jungle is - a 24-hour military operation."
