Netflix secured the rights to Chilling Adventures of Sabrina earlier this year, and ahead of the first season's debut on the streaming platform this October, a first look teaser, as well as a brilliant new poster for the series has been revealed. You can check both of them out below:
With Kiernan Shipka playing the titular character, the show will follow the origins and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, in a "dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft."
Said to be in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation of the celebrated comic series finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature, going up against some of the most dangerous evil forces the world has seen.
Shipka stars alongside the likes of Miranda Otto, Lucy Savis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot and Gavin Leatherwood.
Riverdale showrunner and chief creative officer of Archie Comics, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa penned the script for the series, and also works as an executive producer alongside Riverdale collaborators Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater and Lee Toland Krieger.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres on Netflix on October 26, 2018.
