The former 'Love Island' stars are to go on the run in the Channel 4 show's Stand Up to Cancer special, which will see them try to evade capture from a team of specialists and former police officers.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Chris and Kem have remained mates since leaving Majorca, where they provided plenty of laughs for 'Love Island' viewers - let's hope they do the same on 'Hunted'."

Sky News reporter Kay Burley and Conservative MP Johnny Mercer have already been confirmed for the series, which will air this autumn.

The pair appear to be doing well as the official Hunted Twitter account put out a social media appeal for public information on their whereabouts earlier this week.

The tweet read: "Have you seen Kay Burley and Johnny Mercer? TV Presenter @KayBurley and MP @JohnnyMercerUK are participating in #CelebrityHunted and are "on the run" for charity.

"Help the Hunters find them and you may qualify for a reward you can keep or donate to charity yourself! @SU2C (sic)"

In previous seasons of the celeb and non-celeb specials, the Hunters tend to use this social media option to appeal for public info when their targets have been "on the run" for several days.

'Strictly Come Dancing' pro AJ Pritchard is also set to take part in the charity special, alongside the BBC competition's 2012 champion Louis Smith.

Last October, the first celebrity edition of the show - which was also raising money for Stand Up To Cancer - featured Dominic and Stephanie Parker from 'Gogglebox', TV presenter Anneka Rice, 'Made In Chelsea' boys Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews, and eventual winners, The Wanted singers Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran.

The champion duo said at the time: "For all who've helped us along the way... who have been affected by cancer, there's a lot to be proud of."
