The former 'Love Island' star has revealed he was approached to appear on the show one day after leaving the famous villa, but after deliberating for "two or three months" he decided against being a contestant in the programme, and he doesn't regret his choice.

Chris - whose pal Kem Cetinay went on to appear on the latest series - said: "They approached me the day that I left 'Love Island' but I left it for about two or three months and I would rather do something fun. I don't wish I had done it.

"I have tried to ice skate and I can't ice skate for a start - straight up - to be honest with you I wouldn't have wanted to have done it.

"I was kind of asked to do it and there were a lot of offers around the time."

While the possibility of strutting his stuff on the ice was not for him, the 25-year-old hunk would jump at the chance to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and has previous experience after performing the Flamenco during his formative years.

He said: "I would love to do 'Strictly' - I love the show - I am not a great dancer but that is what you train. and I used to dance the Flamenco when I was younger... and on Love Island we did a bit of dancing in the villa at one stage - it was either the Tango or Salsa - and I would definitely consider it."

But Chris admitted he and fellow 'Love Islander' star Kem will not be entering this year's 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.

He added to The Sun Online: "I am not going into the jungle. To be fair everyone was talking about it but we are not going in."

Chris was speaking at leading breakdown cover provider Green Flag’s Mud & Motors event, where participants were challenged to put their common sense skills to the test.
