Chris and Rosie Ramsey land their own BBC show

The 35-year-old comedian and his wife, author Rosie, will feature in the aptly-named 'Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show', following the success of their podcast 'Sh*****. Married. Annoyed', which has seen over 90 million downloads worldwide.

In a statement, Chris joked: "I’m absolutely thrilled to have a show on the BBC, slightly annoyed that my years and years hard graft and solo work did nothing to achieve me this, but the moment I get my wife involved, it happens.

"But hey ho, you take what you can get."

The series will consist of six 45-minute episodes, which will see the pair joined each week by another celebrity couple to take a satirical look at several aspects of life, including growing up, relationships, arguments, annoyances, parenting and - in reference to their famous podcast - they will be asking: "What's your beef?"

In response to her husband's statement, Rosie said: “You’re welcome, Chris.”

'The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show' - which is set to debut on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in 2022 - will be produced by by Avalon, the team behind other hit shows such as 'Taskmaster', 'Starstruck', 'Breeders' and 'Spitting Image'.

Kate Phillips, Director of Entertainment at the BBC, said: “Chris and Rosie are one of the funniest and frankest couples I know.

"To have them at the helm of a brand new series packed full of very relatable, relevant issues, especially after so many people were locked down together, will be a great treat for 2022!”
