Recently wrapping filming on the series, she's said to be sad to be leaving her character behind because she's loved so much of the portrayal of the office managed-turned-advertising executive.

Speaking at Jaguar Land Rover's Eve of Show party in New York last night (31.03.15), she said: "After eight years of doing 'Mad Men', it's hard to choose [a favourite episode]. Obviously, the episode that involved Jaguar was a very important one for my character and left a big impression on people. I'm really proud of that episode.

"There's so many moments; the character changed so much along the line. I loved the moments where, as an actress, to play the darker stuff and then I loved seeing her with a personality and the exuberance that she has.

"I'm gonna miss her."

With the final part of series seven now ready to hit screens, Christina refused to spill any secrets as to what fans can expect.

She said: "I love that you think I'm going to tell you that right now."

And now filming has finished, the actress - who is married to Geoffrey Arend - is enjoying spending more time in New York.

She told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "I am now a New Yorker half the time. I'm coming back and forth and it's been cool."
