The BBC Radio 1 DJ wowed the judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Anton DuBeke, who was standing in for Motsi Mabuse, who has been isolating after an emergency trip to Germany - with her Charleston to 'Baby Face' by Julie Andrews, earning her a near perfect score of 29 out of 30.

Craig admitted he was taken aback by the dance, insisting he didn't want to see it again - before, following a dramatic pause, adding "until the final". Shirley praised Clara and Aljaž Škorjanec's "incredible transformation" whilst Anton thanked Clara for topping off a wonderful night.

Elsewhere, HRVY and Janette Manrara wowed with a Salsa to 'Dynamite’ by BTS.

After their performance, where they scored 27 points, Shirley admitted she was "hot hot hot" and praised HRVY's "amazing leading skills".

She said: "It was powerful and musical. You have amazing leading skills. I'm lost for words, I really couldn't do it justice enough by saying anything."

Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse were in joint second place, also scoring 27 points out of a possible 30.

Praising the dance, Shirley noted how much work must have gone into the dance, rewarding him with a full 10 points whilst Craig described Bill as "the king of pop and lock" after the Couples Choice dance.

Anton quipped he was expecting a mid-life crisis showing from Bill after hearing they would be dancing to 'Rapper's Delight' by the Sugarhill Gang, before insisting it was unbelievable and brilliant.

At the other end of the leaderboard, JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden failed to impress with their Jive to 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' by Bette Midler despite backing from Prince Harry.

The 'Strictly Come Dancing' results will be given on Sunday (15.11.20) on BBC One.
