The 53-year-old presenter has been inundated with threats after she and her former 'Celebrity Big Brother' co-star clashed on the brunch-time programme last week, and trolls messaged her saying they hope she "dies like [her] sister" Bernie Nolan, who passed away from breast cancer aged 52 in 2013.

Bursting into tears on 'This Morning' while referring to her spat with Kim, she said: "I don't know what I did wrong? I didn't say anything. I said about two things. She needs help. I feel terribly sorry for her.

"I've never called her names. She's called me every name under the sun. But to be called a bully ... and then to have messages going, 'Why can't you die like your sister?' 'Can't you get cancer like your sister?'

"In 50 years of doing a job I really love ... there's a campaign to get me fired. They sent me revolting things to the point where I phoned my management and said to my kids, 'I can't.'

"I cancelled everything last week after it. I just said, 'I can't do it, I don't want to do it anymore.' "

Coleen was "genuinely shocked" by Kim's 'Loose Women' appearance, which saw the 76-year-old TV presenter brand Coleen "lying trash" and a "piece of filth" before storming off the set after a heated row.

She had appeared on the show for what fans thought was going to see the pair make-up after they fell out following their 2017 'Celebrity Big Brother' appearance.

Coleen said: "I don't know what to say. If I could go back in time I'd change the whole thing.

"I genuinely thought she was coming on to make amends.

"So, it was like, 'Let's put it to bed, let's have a laugh with it, let's make amends.'

"It didn't go that way, obviously, from the moment she came out. It was so shocking. Genuinely shocking for all of us, none of us wanted that. I don't like to see anybody in that much distress, how she was in the end. It's been the worst week of my life."

Coleen admits she "wouldn't wish" the "revolting bullying" she's received on anyone, and insists she doesn't hate Kim.

She added: "I think I'm strong. I feel strong. I've dealt with trolls and everything before.

"It's revolting bullying. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I don't hate Kim. We'll never be friends that's fine.

"But I would never set out to bully her. It's just been a really hard week."
