The 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge will team up with the former dancing show's champion Stacey Dooley for a special episode of the Danny Dyer-fronted game show, but the size of The Wall shocked him, with the star admitting it was the biggest TV set he has been on.

When asked how it was to go up against The Wall, Craig said: "Quite frightening as a matter of fact. I wasn’t nervous to begin with, but then I suddenly was faced with the enormity of The Wall.

"I mean the size of it is ridiculous, it’s huge, it sort of threw me.

"It’s the biggest set I’ve ever seen so that was daunting.

"The size of the balls were huge too which was quite amusing."

On the show, one half of the pairing goes into isolation to answer questions and the other watches balls drop - hopefully into the cash slots - and Craig admitted it was "like going into a padded cell" when he went into isolation on the show.

Speaking about advice Danny had given him, he explained: "He told me, because I was the one going into isolation, that it can sort of melt your brain a bit.

"And you’ve got to be very focused in there. He said to take it calmly, look at the question, try and understand it.

"Take your time, read and understand the question, then deliberate over your

answers. I found it really difficult.

"He was right though and you do have to stay calm and focused.

"But, once you’re in there it’s a completely different environment. It’s like going into a padded cell."

But Craig also enjoyed not knowing what was happening in the game.

He said: "The highlight for me was not knowing what on earth was going on outside of isolation."

Former footballers-turned pundits Chris Kamara and John Barnes will team up to take on The Wall in another episode, and TV presenter Alex Brooker and actress Sally Lindsay will do the same in a third ep.
