The outspoken judge admitted he is "looking forward" to seeing the comedian struggle on the dancefloor when he takes part in this year's series of the BBC's Latin and ballroom competition.

During an online live chat with Mecca Bingo, Craig was asked how he thinks Bill will perform, and he predicted: "Terrible. I'm looking forward to the disasters!"

And while he suggested The Wanted singer Max George will be "great", he doesn't have high hopes for retired boxer Nicola Adams.

Discussing the Olympian - who will be part of the show's first-ever same-sex pairing - he quipped: "I think Nicola Adams will be punching above her weight, darling.

"But I am looking forward to seeing a same-sex couple. That's going to be cool."

Craig - who is known for his scathing remarks and high standards when he's assessing the celebrities each week - insisted he needs to see them make their entrance before he can really "judge".

He explained: "I would have a favourite if I'd seen them dance.

"I just need to see them walk down a set of stairs to music, then I can judge them. Some people can't even do that.

"And that's before they go on to the dance floor - and then it becomes a complete and utter disaster."

It was recently claimed several 'Strictly' pros are desperate to be paired up with boxer Nicola for the upcoming series.

A source recently said: "The female pros know that forming Strictly's first same-sex partnership will thrust them into the spotlight like never before.

"But they're also thrilled by the fact Nicola is a sportswoman, because she has the discipline and fitness to deliver a sensational performance.

"She will also have the strength to do lifts during routines, not to mention the fact that she has a sensational physique which will make those routines that little bit sexier."

While Katya Jones is said to be the frontrunner, her co-stars Oti Mabuse, Janette Manrara and Karen Hauer are all reportedly keen.
