The 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge has knocked more than £550,000 off the six-bedroom Hampshire property, called Middlecot Manor, which the 56-year-old ballroom dancer paid £1.4 million for in 2014.

Craig is said to be looking to upsize and to move closer to the family of partner Jonathan Myring, who are based near Leicester in the East Midlands.

A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: “Despite being a luxurious pad with a swimming pool and a glitzy interior decorated to his ostentatious taste, Craig wants more.

“He’s said he wants a pad with even more bedrooms as well as moving closer to the family of his partner, Jonathan Myring, whose family live in Leicester.

"He’s serious about wanting to make the move and the fact he’s reduced the asking price is a reflection of that determination.”

The period-style property is just 10 years old and has a swimming pool, large hot tub, multiple garages and a huge conservatory.

And it appears Craig has already got his next home in his sites.

Describing a Midlands house he's been eyeing up, he said: “It’s really lovely.

"Seven bedrooms, bigger pool … I’m upsizing."

Earlier this year, Craig revealed he was looking forward to the return of Strictly Come Dancing's so-called curse now that COVID-19 restrictions are easing.

He was thrilled BBC One Latin and ballroom show was able to still go ahead last year in the middle of the pandemic, but admitted the imposed bubbles put a stop to any extra-curricular fun happening between the celebrities and the professional dancers.

He recently said: "It depends what happens with COVID but when people are in bubbles, they can’t touch each other.

"It put a dampener on the Strictly curse."

However, contestants and pro dancers are still expected to be required to form bubbles ahead of the new series, which returns on September 18th.
